No Grateful Dead shows on this date in history. Only one event in GD history.

This is classic from my experiences with the GD. Nothing happens just by chance. I miss the space and time travel I would experience through a Grateful Dead show. It truly is a duller, greyer world since my last GD show. I have filled the days between with new endevours, but nothing compares to a Grateful Dead concert.

My wife and I are going out backpacking in the Olympic Park this weekend, that is one of the few remaining places I can go to "get my fix" of things beyond human description. My favorite place to visit is -I did not make up the name- Dose Meadows. There I will be contemplating the stars and the space beyond and within...communing with some real dancing bears.

Many of us can relate. Regardless of other accomplishments or achievements I always return to the memories of the musical experience, travels and the amazing clearinghouse of coincidences that was the GD. Best thing I ever did was devote 13 years to jamming in as many shows as possible. One of the few things in life I knew was dead nuts the right thing to do at the time.

Happy trails!
